See, in 1994, DKC was easily the prettiest game on the market. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was amazing. However, in the years that followed, I realised that DKC1 was actually pretty basic, as far as platformers go. It's graphics were what made it great. DKC2 and DKC3 were much better, though. And Uncharted 2.....I couldn't get enough of this game. The awesome graphics, amazing story presentation, and cinematography are second to none.....but like UC1, I'm having an extremely hard time enjoying that second playthrough. Is this another case of awesome graphics carrying a game with decent gameplay? I beat Tomb Raider Underworld 3 times through, at least. I bought Tomb Raider Legend for three separate platforms. I beat Gears of War 1 & 2 multiple times, each. I beat every MGS 4-5 times, at least. (so, I like exploration, third person shooters, and stealth). Uncharted 1 and 2 (while both are MUST PLAY games) are having a tough time getting me motivated. Maybe I need to try the online mode. |
Wooop, finally something I can comment on! (No, I haven't played a DKC game)
I still had great fun with my second playthrough of Uncharted 2 (on hard). I watched all the cutscenes again, and still held me tight. I did however mix up my SP time with some MP time, as I found that this is actually one of the rare games with a MP that I really like. I don't think I'm particularly good or anything, but I'm having great fun online (most of the time anyway
)
I'm on my third playthrough currently (on crushing), and the game is still good, but it certainly isn't as captivating as it was the first time around.
I can recommend getting into the multiplayer (and I have barely touched the coop, lol). Give me your PSN if you want to play
