Those are a common practice meant to imply emphasis when punctuation is inappropriate.
Example
"GOD this game looks great," is read and understood easily.
"God! This game looks great," is also understandable, but a little gramatically obsessive.
One of my pet peeves is the word "deffo" or "defo" so I understand your annoyance. However, like myself, you'll just have to accept it.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
