I'd say yes. It's the ideal second console. Some great exclusives and it's ideal to have when having friends and family around.
And if you're a football fan the Pro Evo on the Wii is worth buying a Wii for alone. It's the best football video game I've played, and at 38 years old I've played most of them. Once you get over the learning curve you won't want to play any other football game on any other console using dual analog sticks again. It really is that good.
And I have both a Wii and a PS3. :)
