I have noticed quite a few of these in recent months on this site and other sites. Many of the ads are ridiculous showing people of different ethnicities in the before and after photos showing a fat person, and then a physically fit person supposedly only weeks later. That it is some hollywood secret which is used for insane weight loss. These are all scams.

Doing a little research it looks like the acai berry will probably cause you to gain more weight due to its calorie content. The healthy properties of the acai berry are apparently less beneficial than a grape. The reason why these companies are using the acai berry in their products is because it is an exotic item to many people still; no one is going to buy grape or strawberry products, even though they'll both benefit you more.

This is just the latest successor to the green tea pills scam which is supposed to cause massive weightloss. Notice how those stopped when green tea became commonplace in North American society? It was no longer exotic to enough people.
