Intresting to note, when selling the video game rights for sports, most leauges, govenering bodies, whoever gets the job of doing the deal, forces a clause into the contract. This clause states something to the effect that ANY viable system must be supported by the holder of said rights or pentalies may be applyed. When you couple this with the fact that the PS2 engines for these games have already been coded and this years XYZ sport game is ready for realese after a quick roster change, and your baiscly printing money after what? 15k sold?
I've now explanined why the PS2 still gets yearly realeses, now how about you explain to me how taking a brand new game being desinged on newer, more powerful tech down to the ps2 will be an easy or cheap project? it would require a lot of effort and cost for lesser version of the game on a system that would delever a much lower sales base. I don't see how that is a worthy venture but if i've missed something please tell me what.....
As for the other current gen systems, why bother with multi plat? The core gamers that want to play this game will have or get a wii, the rest of the 16-32 age demograpich that the ps360 are fighting over would avoid it like the plauge, just like they will on the wii. Another pointless expense IMO, but again if i've missed something ....
