It's a tough spot to be in. Most likely they want a kingdom hearts reaction in sales, but KH was more for the hardcore audience. The wii is seen as a casual console and its top selling games are minigames/ 1st party games. Similarly, hardcore games on the wii have not drummed up sales.
It may work, but i think the mickey game would have appealed more to the 360/ps3 audience.
