I can use rich text reply on my iPhone. Just make sure you stop the loading midway so that you get the coding and garble in the reply section. If you let it completely load so it becomes the usual sight (Italics, bold, all those cool options) then you can't. Just hit reload in that case, and then make sure to stop the loading midway then.
