Well the Wii is no more limiting that the PS2 was last gen. It didn't stop developers doing good work on the PS2. They didn't whine about power. They were very happy. What's happening is that developers are indeed fanboys as much as gamers. They are specifically taking this blocky puppet route because it's an excuse to be lazy. The people who are doing serious games are the creative groups from last generation who would have made "different" games, but still take chances on the sales. Like Okami. Sony and MS have done a great job selling to people that power is important this gen. While last gen Sony sold the motto it's all about games.
I assure it's nothing to do with more power Pallette since last gen XboX and GC stomped the PS2.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
