Why shouldn't we promote the things we like? We want people to enjoy the things we like. If that means participating in word of mouth marketing, then so be it.
Maybe it's only the ps3 fans on this site because we are passionate about our gaming and a 300$ PS3 is one of the biggest advancements for gaming this year beside game announcements.
There is no difference showing a game announcement, or a console's advertisement.
