After the launch of Vista, I think just about anything is better than the launch of Vista, but is the launch of 7, going to really benefit gaming?  I didn't participate in the beta for Windows 7, but by all reports, it is leaps and bound above Vista, so I'm probably going to switch as soon as possible, but I'm wondering how much pain will be associated with incompatible drivers?

Based on these articles, it doesn't look like there's much benefit for gaming...other than the headaches Vista provided...Doy you want to do this?  No...seriously...do you REALLY want to do this?  Are you sure you want to do this?

lol, the OS uses less memory and system resources, and they will only get better.

Does everyone need this? Well, if they have XP, they will soon. You will pretty much need this or Vista to have the best looking games, and the most system rich rig. Windows 7 is the best OS on the market starting tomorrow. Period.

As far as gaming, it's already better than Vista, and when games start taking advantage of the new DX and software, like when SP1 hits, I mean, this OS is already a fantastic piece of software out of the box. It'll only get better.

So yea, high end, serious PC gamers need Windows 7, or at the very least Vista. They always have. You've might just never realized it, because you probably aren't one. Casual users won't have the rigs necessary to utilize it, so Umbunto is fine, or whatever.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
