Wii users don't want "hardcore" titles as much as casual..So why should Square Enix,Thq,EA or any other company even try?
Nintendo is happy enough when they bring 1-3 Marios per year, and 1-3 Wii series,then sometimes Zeldas..And so they don't need to do much effort since it sells still more than other consoles.
