The PSP Go can't really fail since SONY is selling it at a higher price point purely so its guaranteed to return a profit on its investment. It also is a test platform to see how developers, consumers and retailers react to a download only handheld.
(Ohh and btw many Aussie retailers are not stocking the PSP Go or flat out lie about it, eb games is telling consumers "it only plays new releases that must be downloaded off PS3", Kmart told me "it only plays special PSP Go games and UMD games are on the way out", Harvey Norman tried to argue that a PSP-3000 and PSP Go are the same thing, while JB Hi-Fi only brings them out if consumers ask to buy one (no advertising either))
