price cut should have been taken into account when they made their forecast...( they made a forecast of 26 million units in the middle of a recession, noone in their right mind would have forecasted that without expecting to have to drop the price to reach that goal).

you don't know that, and even if they planned to do it they may have been planning to do it a lot later like after Christmas and changed it due to therise in HD sales.
