Diablo & Civilization: Better w/o random world generation? (Borderlands Q)

No sure about randomization in Borderlands but IMO it isn't a shallow thing at all. The games that need it make it even better I think, like Diablo. I agree with Ultima on Civ, it needed both options. Dungeon crawlers that are loot based (aka Diablo) it makes perfect sense in my book and keeps it fresh.
