I very much disagree. Ten million will not be the stretch but almost a given for the sales of Reach. You have to understand that Microsoft knows what it is doing advertising Halo. You say ODST's campaign was crap, yet it still has outsold what was expected of the expansion. It knew the type of fan that would purchase it (a.k.a. the hardcore Halo fan) and it pandered to that denominator. Also to be fair, I think ODST still has some legs on it, especially when the Beta for Reach is finally announced. If Bungie really is rebuilding the engine, and promises an epic campaign, then all it has to do is be remotely smart with marketing and it will succeed. Keep in mind that the multiplayer for Halo 3 will probably NOT be compatible with Halo: Reach due to the different engine builds, so it will force almost every Halo fan TO switch to the new game. Then you have factored in that sales numbers do not reflect pre-owned purchases, and you would have to think that you have a ton of fans out there willing to purchase the new game.
