LOL, such ignorance. I suppose the AUS $420 for Wii also "typical Sony greed"?????

Not sure where you are getting your figures from because I bought a Wii at launch for $388 AUD and that was nearly three years ago. At that time 250 USD was worth $328 AUD. Admittedly it hasn't dropped much in price since then but that's a whole other discussion.

Having said that the Wii is also much more expensive than it should be currently given that 200 USD is currently worth about $215 AUD.

No matter what way you cut it though, setting a recommended retail price of 450 AUD (417 USD) for a handheld system is not a good move and is just inviting failure.

Wii shouldn't be any cheaper because demand in Australia is still very high unlike the situation elsewhere. A price cut is not needed.

I agree with everything else though, I got the Wii at launch for $399.95 with a free game. You can get a Wii bundle at K-Mart for $468 with the following:

- Console

- 2 Wii Remotes

- 2 Nunchuks

- Link's Crossbow Training with Wii Zapper

- Mario Kart Wii

That's a total of $636 value. So it's not like the price hasn't come down when you consider bundles like that.

Sony's pricing of the PSP Go is ridiculous, there's no argument against it whatsoever.
