We saw similar strong performance from a handful of early third party Gamecube games. Anyway, Ubisoft still knows Microsoft is their sweet spot, but these sales figures do bode well in terms of them supporting Nintendo.

Even if it is true with the GC its hardware sales were no where near the Wii at this point and had fallen sharply off.  It wouldn't be surprising that 3rd party sold when the system was selling well (for all of 2 months) then fell off with system sales.  That's especially the case since new 3rd party titles disappeared as sales dropped.  The Wii has seen good 3rd party sales with its strong sales, so long as it continues to sell well so will the new 3rd party games that will be made.
