Canadian big box electronics seller Future Shop had an online deal today to pre-order COD: Modern Warfare 2 for $49.99 (regular price $69.99) and the first wave of 500 copies each on 360 and PS3 sold out in a matter of minutes in the early AM. Future Shop later posted on Twitter and Facebook that they were going to be releasing another 200 copies for the 360 and 300 for PS3 (due to them screwing up the price on the PS3 and leaving it showing $69.99, which spawned many an e-mail to their online and phone help centers lol). These sold out in less than 15 minutes as well. Obviously 1500 is a small number in the grand scheme of things, but it's still an impressive feat! Saving $20 also helped I'm sure ;).
