Funny that aside from Others (where Extraction is just slightly ahead), Chop Till You Drop is tracking better.
Why? Could be some reasons.
Perhaps CTYD is more accessible than this (regardless of what you think of that game), and the attempt to have a cinematic feel to Extraction pleased critics more than gamers.
Or perhaps the negative hype for CTYD created more interest than the so-so hype for Extraction.
Did CTYD have more marketing? I really don't know.
Either way, this is not a good way to try to put HD series on the Wii. Rail Shooters are about arcade fun, not trying to be artsy or fancy that this game and HotD Overkill did (compared to the port combo of 2&3 which was all about arcade fun).
Although I can at least say they couldn't have even tried something like this on the HD systems given the cost.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
