I dunno - the plot (and some of the cast) was enjoyable, and IMO on par with the original game, which was basically the only thing that pushed me to finish DX2 in the first place.
But yeah, otherwise it was dumbed down hard, especially on the gameplay side. Hopefully they don't screw up the third game like that - but I'm not getting my hopes up too much.
EDIT: But then again - Deus Ex is a huge hurdle for any game to overcome, let alone a decent consolized FPS.
