You can do whatever you want but they are still two totally different genres.
If Tekken was just "not that good" it wouldn't be played for real money as well as sell a ungodly amount every time It's released. Tekken has been the face of fighting games for years and even the die hard Street Fighter fans know that by sales and popularity alone.
It's just that simple.
