Where does it say it can be done with a controller if it's anything less than 1:1? Even the wand and NATAL can't be that accurate.
The problem with the original Wiimote (but I must state that the Motion+ wasn't feasible when it launched) was that it wasn't even close to exact. The + is a big leap. From here it's what the designers can plan.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
