I like Malstrom. He is on the money with a lot of what he says.

He has a proven track record which is why I don't just take what he says with a grain of salt. But even in things I don't agree with I can see the points he raises and they are usually well observed. Especially on the business side of things. I also think his criticisms of the game industry and UGC are well founded.

Anyone who thought he was just a Nintendo defender fanboy must not have been paying attention. I agree with Liquid, that people turning on him now are disgruntled Nintendo Die hards. But hell, even I don't agree with EVERYTHING he says. He's a wonderful alternative to the bs game journalists from IGN to Gamespot, at least in my opinion.

As far as this particular article..There are good points raised. I also think he may be using spectacular words choosing to shock the reader as to illustrate just how against UGC he is. And I agree. I don't buy a game to make the game..I love Smash Bros Brawl, but I've never used the level creator in that game. I buy a game to experience the content created by the professionals.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.
