How are they random? Can you not read?
Franchises about the same size, releasing around the same time, same pre-order numbers by release date, both AAA games, both hyped, both well advertised, etc. etc.
The comparison is completely sensible, comparing Halo to Uncharted is ridiculous, and NSMB Wii is especially ridculous. How many games has the Mario franchise sold? Exactly.
JUST BECAUSE GAMES ARE IN DIFFERENT GENRES DOESN'T MEAN THEY CAN'T BE COMPARED IN SALES.
It's really not that hard to understand.
