Pretty much and coming in 2nd is irrelevant. I guess it would mean more to Microsoft, but for Sony, it's really irrelevant because they were 1st the last two generations prior. When you're first, you don't want to come in 2nd or 3rd ever.
As for the $149 price for the Arcade, that's not going to happen until next year I think. I think M$ would actually lose some money if they dropped the price of the Arcade to $149 this year. If they are smart, they will drop the Elite to $250 next year as well. I don't expect Sony to do anymore price cut until 2011. The fact that they are still losing money on the PS3 Slim is bad enough.
