Without actually reading the article:
I'm fairly disappointed. It's not because of textures or a low polygon count (after seeing the majestic SMG I honestly don't care about that stuff), but it just looks half done everywhere.
All the "in-game" (or what looks to be) looks like crap but all the concept art around the page is freaking amazing. I'm really disappointed. Make the game 2D if you have to! I just want to see that amazing art that clearly doesn't look like it'll translate well into 3D (at this point).
OR make it into a movie! This could be the great return of 2D disney animated feature films!
Actually, looking over the screen shots again, I'm not unimpressed by them, I think it's just the fact that they look so bare (in terms of objects/things to interact with on screen) that puts me off. Also, I don't like the mickey model in this game (pssst.. use kingdom hearts mickey and not the old school disproportionate one).
