One that was promoted by Valve. Anyway, Gordon is popular because his games are great, and the characters around him are cool. They mythos and writings behind the series are not games and should not, imo, be used to base character greatness on. Mario is the same thing, except he actually visually appears in his games, has a voice, and yes, the overall mario library of games is better than the HL series imo. It's also more popular, I'd wager. However, the story is worse. Without the Gman, or the ad campaign, Gordon wouldn't have won this. |
