I've been saying a long time ago that a price drop was not the solution to Wii's slump, but everyone seemed to believe it would be the answer. Now that it's shown not to be the case, everyone is scratching their heads wondering why the price drop did little to help Wii's sales. It's SOFTWARE that drives a console's sales. Wii needs more and better SOFTWARE, period. NSMB Wii will definetly be enough to carry them through the holidays but starting early next year they need to roll out some big guns (Pikmin 3, Kirby, Star Fox, maybe a new ip, etc.) in order to keep the momentum going. Price drop do little to boost a console's sales signifianctly without games to go along with it.
