Seems that the Wii followed Japanese drops in being very very minimal. Definitely not because of time there because both weeks had the price drop for the full week. Even more so after an above average increase for a price drop it sustained well. It's quite possible the price drop was a little more "necessary" than some have thought including me.

Nevertheless a very strong hold for the Wii which is good as it starts to get some of it's big software around the world in the weeks to come. PS3 also held up quite well still being able to be over the 200,000 mark. Once again just like Wii it's a great hold as it's big software starts to come out over the next few weeks too. As I said before we may not see PS3 or Wii drop below 200,000 for the rest of the year which is quite positive.

For the rest PSP fell a little harder than I thought it would but still being very competitive. DS as always stays strong and still within range of last year's numbers which is simply incredible considering how big sales were last year. 360 although falling off the mark a little bit, considering the situations it is holding up very well. Like PS3 and Wii this week was crucial in "getting by" as the next few weeks are going to be huge software oriented weeks.

Next week will be interesting to see what effects if any Uncharted 2 has and how Wii survives in its 3rd week. Then of course software sales of notable titles such as Brutal Legend, Uncharted 2, and Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics.
