It's launching in a recession, the Japanese market is small and shrinking, and it's been a series that has slowly decreased in sales for the last 11 years.

Yup, everything going for it.

1. Yes a recession.....see MW2 sales? see Uncharted 2 sales? FF13 will be better than either of them {puts flame jacket/shield coat & everything on}

2. Japanese market is smalle and shrinking -- yes it is....this is why Xbox 360 will help its sales in the west, FF13 will break into the xbox crowd & make JRPG's popular with them.

3. The series has decreased, but only from FF7 to FF8.....last gens best selling FF game, FF10 sold more than FF8.....so the series hasn't declined a lot.

4. FF13 has more hype going for it than either FF10 or FF12 had.
