This is exactly why the whole DS2 business with nVidia is semi-believable. A year from now DS will be slowing down in Japan and Nintendo's main focus is it's home market, always has been.
Basically Nintendo is going to play to the Japanese market with it's next gen consoles in the hopes of continuing to grow the portable market that Japan seems to be shifting to and alsoto revitalise the console market by giving Japanese consumers something that they won't be able to get on a portable. Wii does that pretty well but obviously lately it hasn't had the desired effect.
