2010 is too early for a new handheld. Nintendo has recently released a handheld ~1-2 years before their new console. I'm guessing the Wii 2 is coming in 2012, so a 2011 DS2 seems plausible.
However, with the DS's current monstrous momentum, the new DS could be delayed to even 2013. The original Game Boy did last like 9 years.
