I've edited the post and added SML comparison as well ;) I think GTPSP will be lucky to do 2M LTD since it doesn't have to selling power as a mario game has, no game rather than Pokemon really does, but for it being the first GT game on a portable console, it did rather good.
Nintendo will continue to dominate the handheld market for a long while, even for the next generations, since they know what the majority of the public wants and gives them exactly that, but Sony has really surpassed the expectations with the PSP, no one ever thought that there could be a serious competition to the Gameboy/NDS domination
