First of all, It's not a spinoff! A spinoff is what the Wii gets. I.e. Crystal Chronicles.
Versus is part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series which is the main series.
Having said that I'm not sure about sales. I can safely say that the Japanese game market is well and truly dead.
