Actually... your point doesn't stand.

Controversy and Scandal are actually things most people LOVE to read about.  Knowing what your reader wants to read about is the sign of a good writer.

Outside that, you don't think there have been tons of scandelous and conterversal books that were written that didn't get publicity deals?

So once again... your just wrong.  If it was easy enough to just write something controversal... everyone would do it.

Heck, i'd write a book suggesting that Gandhi was a Serial Baby Rapist... i'd be the richest best sold author in the world!

Well, our lttle discussion hasn't met with complaints, so I'll continue:

I wasn't refering to the content when I wrote about controversy and scandal, but rather about events surrounding the products. As for knowing what your reader wants... Well, I'd say that genious more often comes from what your audience doesn't know they'll want to read/play/listen to/watch.

Basically, you would have a best seller on your hands if you got some big names/organisations to loudly and publically condemn your book. You might need a minimum level of writing, but more?

Now your talking about artistic merit.  Not quality.

Additionally such a thing is the exact antithema of the games targeting the "hardcore" market.

If any system or game fell into said group... it would in fact be wii games mostly, when some "hardcore" give them a chance.

Also once again, there are plenty of people that have written controversal stuff... and mostly have been ignored... why?

Because the level of writing has to be good for those big names/orginizations to think people will take them seriously.

I'm a pretty decent writer.  My Gandhi Serial Baby Rapist book isn't going to be condemened by anyone.
