A franchise that needs to die should be one that has fallen from grace and can no longer match it's previous heights. Half of that list doesn't even come close to that criteria.

I did, but did you read my post?  The list could be OK if the title was changed, as is i can't agree with it. 

One may personally have had enough of a particular franchise as is or perhaps never even liked it that much in the first place but to argue that a franchise needs to die when it's virtually at the top of it's game (e.g. Mario and MGS) is just silly.
