Sony doesn't need to do anything. They won this gen with the release of $299 PS3 slim.
The momentum that created won't stop. 360 on the other hand is completely fucked in Japan and Europe and nothing will change that. Not a price drop, not any exclusive games.
If MS wants to stand a chance in europe they need to throw in a bluray player and make Live free. And then still drop the price so elite 360 is €100 less than PS3.
But of course none of that will happen.
