the source(s) only give them the amount they sold and vgchartz applies some sort of multiplier (of course it's a bit more complicated calculation than that) to get a picture of the whole market ..
if numbers differentiate enormously from commercial trackers (which use more sources and have a bit more experience with the market they are tracking), then that suggests the assumption, that the multiplier vgchartz chose might not be an accurate enough one
