I hope it's not true....Im sorry but I think Exclusives should stay exclusives. Giving each console their own identity.....PS3-only owners if you want to play Mass Effect 1/2 go buy a 360

mass efect 2 is not an exclusive to 360.

If I can't play it on my Wii or PS3 it's exclusive to the 360. So it's on PC woop de doo, it's a Microsoft Exclusive, happy?

Since when did microsoft make money on pc hardware? Don't be silly. Mass Effect is not a 360 exclusive. That's just the way it is. The PC is a gaming platform.

Not only that, the PC version is superior. and you can play it with the controller, if you wish.

your xbox is just an out dated PC in a box with a controller attached to it. You really need to stop thinking about PCs as NOT gaming platforms.

The term video game console is only used to describe a device which is used soley for playing videogames.

Which, if you have any sort of brain, will lead you to understand that the PS3 and the XBOX 360 are no longer video game consoles, but Computer Entertainment systems. (Sony's has been one since the PS1.)

The second your platform can be used to do anything other than gaming, it, by definition, is no longer a video game console, but a personal computer that is PREFERED to play games.

Case in point, if its on the PC, it's not exclusive. It can be purchased on a platform that consists of hardware sold by ATI, nVIDIA, AMD, Intel, Asus among many others.

THEY make money if you buy the hardware for pc gaming, not microsoft.

Yes, but the PC has no first party developers, so they only get the AAA exclusive games from Blizzard, and even then, only two or so a generation. That is, of course, besides the myrid of MMOs, shovelware, and RTS games.

Just this month, consoles in total have racked up about 5 AAA exclusive titles, and the biggest games the PC has to look forward to this Xmas aren't exclusive?

It seems to me that most of the big budget genre defining games this generation are console exclusive. It's not like you're gonna be seeing any more exclusives in the future. In fact, as soon as consoles fully support mouse + keyboard, next gen, Blizzard will probably expand to consoles(they already tried with WoW on the 360, but it didn't happen). Then, there will be no PC exclusive games that are of consequence, besides the ones that are forced to be there, like redundant RTS games.

So, while the platform may currently have better control and graphics, it won't for long, and it certainly is starting to lag behind on overall current gen AAA content, and exclusive content, well it lost that battle this generation, and for the foreseeable future. Even Crytek found it unsustainable.

As for MS, if you want to use the latest DX drivers, or download Xpacks for Fallout 3, you'll need windows, for games for windows. MS DOES make money off PC gaming, as long as you aren't pirating. You should accept that. The reason MS even created the 360, was to draw people away from Playstation, and towards PC/360 gaming content.

All that said, admittedly, I didn't read most of your post. I recognized it early on.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.
