@Final Fan: How i read the original post you're arguing about, said pretty much nothing on the matter. That's the most likely reason why nobody (else) commented it.
It did indicate that Baroque_dude disagreed with JPII:s view on evolution and religion.
But, he did critisise pope (and Vatican), i would guess, about having a political role, which is valid critisism. However, extending the viewpoint a little further, the same goes for all the religion.
