The best place to farm by far is 4-2. All you need is a good bow and some arrows. You go down into the tunnel. Shoot the reaper 2-4 times with your bow until he is dead which gives you 4900 souls on Pure White WT and 7000 souls on Pure Black WT. Then you commit suicide and repeat the process. I got about 120000 in 10 minutes.
