Aie. This thread is a bit of a mess. Cut down on those quote boxes!
Alright, let's start with CGI's list. I believe you pulled that out of Wiki? For one, it's inaccurate, and secondly, the non-bundled condition was kind of thrown in. I'm sure you knew atma was talking about using VGC's own top 20 data (see here). As for the inaccuracy, it leaves out GTA:Vice City and GTA III, which damages atma's argument. It also doesn't take into consideration that the GTA's also had extra sales on the PC / Xbox, and being multi-platform is the very reason used to defend potential GT5 sales. We all know GTA is bigger than GT, there's no use arguing it just because atma said it.
As for the GT5 sales on PS3, I'll just say I wouldn't be surprised if it hit 10 million. We've argued this with atma enough, no use continuing (he didn't change his stance on it in the countless threads before, it isn't going to change now).
As for piracy on the PSP, it's obviously a problem, but I wouldn't say it's worse than on the DS. While few people will end up pirating Hannah Montana, I'm sure a ton are pirating the core DS games, like TWEWY or GTA:CW. I've seen about 6 people at my school with DS's, and all of them were using slot-1 cards for it... (bleh). Bittorrent means little when DS games are small enough to download straight off direct download sites.
I did see someone (earlier in the thread) say they'd buy GTAIV if it remained exclusive to the PS3. Most people don't care about this stuff (exclusivity). Why should that matter? I can understand wanting a better game, but that doesn't come directly from exclusivity. We know games can be awesome when multiplat on HD consoles, CoD4 is probably the best example.
Finally, ON TOPIC! GT PSP sales are okay, just need to see how it holds up over time. It seems kind of meaningless when we don't know how many sales it's getting from digital distribution, though. Hopefully Sony releases some numbers (I suspect they might if it's good news).
