Wow. I thought Nintendo would be on top, but 31.8% of all software sold this generation is absurdly impressive. Especially when that figure beats out the three biggest 3rd party publishers combined. Is this why third parties have been so cautious to support Nintendo even after the success of Wii and DS in building a large install base? Do they see Nintendo as too formidable an opponent on their own platforms?
Great thread. It'll be really interesting to see how these figures change after Q4. It'll be even more interesting to see where these companies stand in 5 years time.
