Germany is not a small market ofourse US is the big Fish in the Tank but Europe is not far behind I would say both on the same Level. And Germany is the second biggest market for Video Games in Europe. So it is the fifth biggest market in the World. A lot of Americans forget how many countries in Europe exists. So there are some other markets like France,Spain,Italy,Netherlands,Sweden,Finland,Poland,Denmark,Belgium, Czech republic, Austria, Switzerland,Portugal,Norway,Hungary, and then the other world wide markets like Australia, South Africa, Israel, Korea, China, Russia and a lot more.

I wouldnt count germany as a small market. Its a market which its heavy advertised and important. And infact Sony did NOTHING for the PS3 in Terms of Advertising I mean Nothing I can remember 2 TV adds in PS3 life that was Little Big Planet and Uncharted. I was even surprised that PS3 is on Number one I always thought it was on number three until now. that it managed to outsell Wii in August was more surprising to me than September. Sony did not much in Advertising fo Germany. Less then the other two Competitors (I speak just for the home consoles because there are a lot of PSP ads everywhere)

I am not so sure US is the big fish. Go through the weekly sales chart and you will see EU sells more consoles than NA.

Also the growth potential is far higher there as states emerge (in a commercial sense).

You are right about many europeans buying console in/from the UK with gives a false reflection on UK sales.

Germany has a bigger population and economy than the UK, again with potential to take it's spot if it has not already done so.

Sales in euros greater than sales in $US.

Sony must rule europe and asia. Let MS keep NA. The biggest slice of the pie is in Europe.
