Tech wise, I'd say GTA4 was pretty innovative. Most realistic open world ever with really amazing physics and collision detection. Even online. Other than that, not so much impressive.
Gears2 on the other hand... i don't see it.
But why complain about a 9.3?? That's a pretty good score, last I checked.
