would disagree - "MySims, formerly The Sims Wii, is a video game developed by EA Redwood Shores and published by Electronic Arts as a spinoff to Maxis' The Sims franchise"
this is just like mario kart being a spinoff to the main mario series. without the sims there would be no mysims.
