Ah, OoT. It was the first game I ever preordered. (And the first game I ever returned; on release day, I opened it in my car and when I saw grey, went back in and showed my receipt for a gold cart.) I was happily looking forward to playing my 5th Zelda game, but I have to say that it really let me down. Part of the fun in a Zelda series for me is trying to find everything. And there's usually these couple of things I just couldn't find. But in OoT, the extent to what I couldn't get on my own (no book, looking up, anything) was a handful of skulltulla. And after beating the game, I had this feeling of "That's it?" There wasn't anything more to find; I had no reason to want to play the game again. Coupling this with an perceived easier difficulty for the main game, and I really can't say that I was wowed by it. Now, as a few others have said, LttP, now that was a good Zelda game.
