Here is the problem with all the hypothetical situations. The problem is with the HD consoles you need to take into account who is buying these consoles in the first place. The majority of customers for the HD consoles are older customers who pay with their own money. When you pay with your hard earned money instead of having your parents buy it for you then you study your purchase a little harder. When someone sees that 75% of their friends have a 360 then they will buy a 360 to play with their friends, therefore making their purchase worthwhile. I will also bet GT5 will not be a system seller in the US. 360 has US wrapped up and as long as it does it will not fall behind the PS3. The numbers of consoles sold in the US are just too high and will stay ahead. It doesn't matter if PS3 catches up or even passes the 360 in other regions. If and when it does it won't be by much.
