The article I read explained it's the first Pokemon title in four years to hit the top spot, what you have here makes it sound like no Nintendo published title has hit number one spot in four years, that can't be right. I'm sure Wii Play or Zelda was just up there.

 No, I think that is actually correct. Following the UK charts (this is what it refers to - not Spanish or another European territory), I believe it has actually been that long since Nintendo #1's. Wii launch titles were in the top 5, but not #1 - I think they launched at the same time as some football games (which took #1 instead).
