I would say that's because the sites try to turn everything as a news story as soon as possible to get site hits. It's like the tabloid press.
How the gaming press seem to be behaving, is something you'd expect to see on gaming forums, however, in this particular case, it was informed as exclusive and the citation to exclusivity have been removed, i'd see it as good manner to correct the possibly false report.
Still, they are jumping the gun a bit early.
